Golden Horseshoe

WELCOME TO THE WEBSITE OF THE GOLDEN HORSESHOE BRANCH

The Golden Horseshoe Branch of the Canadian Nuclear Society is a student-focused branch centered around Hamilton, Ontario, and operated in close collaboration with McMaster University’s Department of Engineering Physics, and Nuclear Operations and Facilities.

Our branch represents members from across the Golden Horseshoe region, including students, researchers, industry professionals, and members of the broader nuclear community. We are committed to promoting nuclear science and engineering through professional development, technical discussion, education, outreach, and community engagement. Throughout the year, we host technical seminars, networking events, and additional professional development opportunities.

The CNS Golden Horseshoe Branch collaborates with McMaster Nuclear to host the Nuclear Resonance lecture series. This series aims to provide engaging technical presentations and discussions on current topics in nuclear science, engineering, policy, and industry, while fostering stronger connections between students, researchers, and professionals within the Canadian nuclear community.

Information and events are communicated by email through the CNS regional mailing lists by opting into the Golden Horseshoe region within your personal CNS profile.
